Jukka Mäntylä: A Seasoned Leader Joins NeXec as Account Executive

We’re proud to announce that Jukka Mäntylä has started at NeXec as Account Executive. Jukka brings a remarkable combination of technical expertise, sales acumen, and leadership skills, underpinned by a deep understanding of the needs of large enterprises and especially the people who drive them. His return to NeXec feels like welcoming back a trusted friend, one who knows how to make things happen and inspire others along the way.

A Familiar Face with Fresh Energy

This isn’t Jukka’s first chapter with NeXec. Reflecting on what drew him back, he shared:

“NeXec is a company that makes its dent in the universe by making big things happen in the large Finnish enterprises. And you’ll be the one that makes the wheels turn. What’s not to like?”

Thanks to his history, he hits the ground running. Some things have stayed the same, yet there’s a lot of new people. The first moves he’ll make during the first months are clear:

“I’ll get to know the clients where we currently have consultants under my responsibility. And I need to understand the consultants too, their concerns, their triumphs, and what makes their everyday work worth all the effort.”

Experience Brings Timeless Insight

Even in a company where the average person has over 20 years of experience, Jukka stands out as one of the most seasoned professionals in the room. With a career spanning 40 years, he has witnessed the IT industry’s seismic shifts firsthand. The world looks different now compared to the time when he was developing in Assembler during the 1980s to squeeze out every ounce of CPU power. The tools, the processing power, the capabilities, the efficiency of programming practices all have improved manyfold.

Yet, amid all the change, one truth remains: it’s all about the people. As Jukka notes,

“The technologies may change, but the biggest leap is always in how those technologies help people to drive business forward. And that’s where NeXec truly shines. People make the world go around.”

Life Beyond the Office: Family and Music

People are up and center outside the office hours, too. His favorite way to unwind is by spending time with his grandchildren cherishing the fleeting magic of their childhood years.

He’s also recharging by playing music. His current tools of choice are modern like electric drums and state-of-the-art keyboards. While he appreciates the efficiency and flexibility of today’s musical instruments, he still holds a special fondness for timeless vintage classics:

“I never should have sold my 70s Fender Rhodes 73 Suitcase. I miss that thing in all of its lovable near-hundred kilograms glory.”

Classics are classics for a reason. Times change, but seeing the big picture never goes out of style.
